Rocket League Could Be Landing in Fortnite Very Soon

What sorcery is this? Is Rocket League coming to Fortnite, or is this just another false alarm? Judging by the grounded leaks and the person who metaphorically burst the pipe, something of the sort is imminent for early December. And what else is coming along that fresh December timeline? Precisely! The officially confirmed first-ever GTA 6 trailer.
Yes, I had to sneak in a GTA 6 reference somewhere in this text because, holy moly, I still can't believe we're going to finally see actual in-game scenes. Aside from the ones from development that went public during the most significant leak in video game history in September 2022, I mean.

Now, getting back to the matter at hand, a rather reputable leaker who goes by "iFireMonkey" claims three new Fortnite modes are coming very soon to Fortnite.

The first would be this Rocket League x Fortnite feature or merger called "Rocket Racing," allegedly arriving on December 8, 9:00 ET. This is not the first time rumors surrounding this collaboration have circled around. Although... "collaboration" might be putting it too mildly because Epic Games owns both Fortnite and Rocket League IPs. So it's basically the same piggy bank.

While we have nothing else to go on except for iFireMonkey's tweet, we can only speculate what this Rocket Racing could look like. But judging by the recent focus on the Creator Mode in Fortnite, we could assume that it won't necessarily be part of the battle royale experience, but will be offered separately, with goalposts and a giant soccer ball, too.

However, Epic might have dedicated playgrounds within the battle royale mode that could provide boosts, items, power-ups, etc. Although my bet's on the first theory.

Apparently, the second mode is LEGO-related, which sounds like a fantastic experience. Especially because some theories involve a Minecraft-like building mode. With this in mind, I'm seeing this more at home in the classic Build Mode, not the Zero Build one.

I can envision it now... building pointless skyscrapers in 0.3 seconds made of LEGOs instead of shooting each other like you're supposed to in a 3rd person shooter. But setting my rant for Build Mode aside for one moment, this LEGO x Fortnite collab should come on December 7 at 9:00 ET, according to iFireMonkey.

Last but not least, we have the Harmonix-inspired game mode, which simply means a rhythm game where very colorful things happen on screen, and you need to hit the right button at the right time to sync with the music on-screen. Think of Beat Saber, but probably more lame.

All joking aside, Fortnite keeps pushing the industry boundaries so far and well that others simply can't compete, not even in their wildest dreams. For example, the industry giant Sony is desperately trying to grab onto just a single live service game. While it originally had 12 in the pipeline, the company recently announced only six are still in production.
