Is This Proof Enough That Rockstar Is Almost Done With GTA 6?

As per usual, it's that time of the week again, which means that you should take your tin foil hat from the secret compartment in your desk and put it on. We have a potential whopper on our hands, but this time, the plausibility meter is through the roof. That's right, folks, we almost have facts! Well, in a manner of speaking.
You may have heard that back in August 2023, Take-Two opened another Rockstar Studio in LA, simply called Rockstar Games LA. Shocker, I know.

It wasn't a grand ol' opening with giant CJ-shaped balloons attached to parade floats that utter his most famous "here we go again" line, but true fans saw past the hidden veil and picked up on the blessed event nonetheless.

The ever-vigilant fine folks over at the "Rockstar Universe" digital publication recently noticed something so peculiar even Sherlock Holmes would raise an elementary eyebrow.

It was discovered that the Rockstar LA studio has five open positions they are recruiting for at the time of writing.

First, there's the coding department looking for an Electronics Engineer and a Senior Electronics Engineer. Then, the performance capture "wing" hopes to snag a Casting Assistant and a Casting Associate. Finally, the writing department seeks an Associate Writer for Pedestrian and Ambient Dialogue.

As a quick side note, it's interesting that Rockstar won't use AI to write dialogue for NPCs, which, let's face it, aren't the most important characters in their games. To put it lightly. But apparently, Rockstar doesn't think this way and feels that a human touch and authenticity are the way to go. Kudos to them!

As we all know, Rockstar is renowned for their sublime open worlds that, with time, have become increasingly life-like. The apex of their creative genius is, of course, their most recent open-world game, Red Dead Redemption 2. Before that, we got Grand Theft Auto 5, and so on.

While we don't know and probably won't know for a very long time what Rockstar LA is working on, it's safe to assume that they're not making or remaking something on a small scale.

It could even be Bully, but given the current social and political climate, making such a game would post some magnificent hurdles to jump over, so let's theorize it's either GTA Online, GTA 6 Online, GTA 6 DLC, Red Dead Redemption 2 Online, Red Dead Redemption 3 and everything in between.

Now, finally, we can get to the tin foil hat part! If all of this truly means that Rockstar is prepared to start a supposedly new open-world project that would take 5-10 years, wouldn't it be a good indicator that production for GTA 6 is wrapping up?

It would make sense chronologically to tie things up at the studios already making GTA 6, so Rockstar LA can start work on their next big project. If nothing else, at least it's a fresh breath of copium.
