Held, which also means "hero" in German, are celebrating their 70th anniversary with a huge raffle. The value of the prizes is no less than €70,000, which is the (Google) equivalent of $76,680. Such money is hard to come by even in prizes, so you'd better check out how to register below.
The German riding gear manufacturer announced the top prizes and, trust us, you'll be scouring for your nearest Held dealer's address when you find out what they are.
The grand prize is a customized BMW R75, upon which the BMW specialists Wunderlich will bestow their magic. This motorcycle will become the official anniversary bike of the Held event, and its final price will be €20,000 ($21,910).
As a donor bike, Held chose a 1976 BMW R75/6. It may be almost 40 years old, but the machine only has 35,000 km (miles) on the clock, and it is in very good condition. After the customization process is over, it will look and feel like new.
Wunderlich has not decided yet as to what style the custom R75 will have, and is asking for your help. Liking one of the four styles on the official Facebook page will help to direct the build in the direction you want. Only the frame, engine, rear drive, fork, and wheels will be retained, and the rest of the parts will be supplied or custom built for this bike purposely.
Entry is free and not conditioned by a purchase. All you have to do is fill in the entry card at your nearest authorized Held dealer and throw it in the box. You can even go to the one dealer you think is the luckiest, but make sure you only post one entry.
