General Motors is probably feeling how Toyota is breathing down its neck after the sales tally regarding the first three months of the year - 594,233 versus 565,098 units barely allowed the biggest of the Detroit Three to stay ahead of the Japanese automaker.
GM registered a drop of 1.5%, mainly due to a disastrous evolution of its commercial division, while the Asian carmaker happily jumped more than 20%. Things are bound to heat up during the remaining three quarters as Toyota introduces the Lexus GX, Tacoma i-Force Max hybrid, 2024 Land Cruiser, and the upcoming 2025 4Runner to the market.

Meanwhile, GM is tasking GMC to keep the banner up after Chevrolet kind of wrapped up the list of introductions with the refreshed 2025 Tahoe and Suburban plus the all-new 2025 Equinox. Yes, the Silverado EV RST is finally coming, but the First Edition and the GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 won't make volumes, for sure.

Instead, GMC is more confident that it will lift deliveries with traditional nameplates – so they are actively promoting two of their most important SUVs. First, we saw the initial teaser for the refreshed 2025 Yukon full-size body-on-frame SUV, and the rumor mill had already caught it uncovered during testing. For sure, it's bound to follow the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban recipe, with the 2025 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL getting a host of subtle design tweaks, more features and technology, plus a major overhaul inside the cabin along with a 10% more powerful diesel mill.

Secondly, GMC also kicked off the teasing campaign for the all-new Terrain, its third generation of the compact crossover SUV, a platform cousin of the all-new 2025 Chevrolet Equinox. Most likely, the all-new 2025 Terrain and 2025 Yukon will share some design traits as previewed by the teasers, which only show parts of the front fascia styling. As for the interiors, there is a big chance they will follow in the footsteps of the all-new 2024 Acadia with digital instrument clusters and portrait-oriented big central screens for the infotainment systems.

Of course, with the Acadia launching this spring at nationwide dealerships and the 2025 Yukon plus 2025 Terrain closely following it based on the teaser campaign, it is no wonder that all eyes are currently on GMC – including the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. For example, the Halo oto channel on YouTube provides fresh automotive info corroborated with their virtual designs; now, there are new CGI ideas about the teased 2025 Terrain after they previously worked, quite intensely, on the 2025 Yukon in Denali and AT4 form.

For now, there isn't much CGI to discuss – the channel's resident pixel master refrained from showcasing any other POV aside from the easiest one, the direct view of the front fascia, as hinted in the teaser. No worries, though; more angles will soon follow, that's for sure.
