Yesterday, we reported that Renault will rebrand its technocentre, calling it “La Losagne”. It looks like the company's internal and external marketing schemes are being crossed, as it announced that it will build two nursery schools for the infants of its Technocentre employees located in Guyancourt, France.
The project will be developed and maintained through a partnership with Babilou, a nursery specialized company. The two facilities will follow the “eco” trend and each of them will cater for 60 infants. They will be built at less than 5 km from the Technocentre and are scheduled to be opened in January 2011 and January 2012.
The first one will be a house in an existing building, but the latter will be renovated to meet “green” requirements in order to obtain the “High Environmental Quality” certification. The second will be the first nursery school in France to be built from solid wood and will use a bio-climatic architecture. The company also intends to develop 10 similar facilities for its Lardy Test Centre employees.
All these actions are part of a more complex plan. The carmaker will sign up to the “Company Parent Center” with the Company Parent Observatory. Renault will also join the “Creches and Company” club, a group of fifty organisations created with the aim of providing nursery schools to their employees. In addition to that, the company has prepared new measures to meet its employees needs, which will be submitted at the next round of negotiations with labor unions on the theme of well-being in the workplace.
