Fiat has made a return to the US market, and while that might not have been in line with company expectations, it wasn’t all that disappointing. So does that open the door to other European brand to make the trip across the pond and hit North American shores?
According to The Detroit News, one French brand isn’t going to make it any time soon. Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn said this Tuesday that the French brand will not come to the US, instead focusing on the Chinese market. Despite the recent slowdown, the Chinese market still sits at 17,3 million vehicles sold per year, significantly more than the US, and it’s also less competitive than a fully-mature one.

Let’s just hope that Ghosn can do with Renault what he did with Nissan... and soon.
