Dominique Thormann Appointed CFO of Renault Group

The Renault Group has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer, in the person of Dominique Thormann, who will be replacing Thierry Moulonguet.

The executive becomes a member of Renault Group’s Executive Committee, reporting directly to Carlos Ghosn, Chairman of Renault. Thormann, who will fill in his new position on July 1st, will also remain Chairman of RCI Banque(Renault’s financial arm)

Thierry Moulonguet will be appointed Director and Special Adviser to Carlos Ghosn, President of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, with the move also becoming effective from July 1st.

Dominique Thormann, born in 1954, began his career as a credit analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York in 1979. Subsequently, he held various international positions in Rome, Milan and Paris. He started working for Renault International in 1989 as international Treasurer and become responsible for Investor Relations for Renault in 1994. In 1999 he joined Nissan in Tokyo, serving as Deputy General Manager, Investor Relations and Financial Strategy. After that, Thormann was appointed Vice President, Global Communications and Investor Relations.

In 2004, the executive became Senior Vice President in charge of Administration and Finance for Nissan Europe, based in Paris. He joined Nissan North America on July 1st, 2006 as Senior Vice President in charge of Administration and Finance, being appointed Chairman of RCI Banque in October 2009.

Thormann graduated with a BA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University (USA) in 1975. He is also a graduate from the JHU School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. and obtained a diploma in international relations in Bologna, Italy in 1977.
