Chrysler Group LLC has announced that the Ram Truck brand is continuing their partnership with NHL's Detroit Red Wings with the addition of two Ram Truck and Red Wings-themed displays at the Joe Louis Arena.
While a new Red Wings-themed truck won't be available in 2013 due to the strike-compressed season NHL season, Ram says the Detroit experiment "worked out so incredibly well" that the company is considering approaching other sport franchises as well.

“It’s actually an experiment that we did with Detroit and it worked out so incredibly well, we’re looking at the possibility of doing other things with other sports,” Diaz said. “You have to have a rabid fan base. Then you have to get the rights. We’ve got our feelers out to see what could work.”

Ram sold 3,000 examples of the Red Wings Edition 1500 truck since November 2011, triple than what the Detroit-based automaker expected. The Red Wing 1500 option costs $399 and can be ordered with red, while or black exterior colors.
