Japanese automaker Nissan has just released the first few photos of the production 2013 Pathfinder. This is the fourth generation of this vehicle, which now makes a departure from its predecessors to become a full-sized crossover.
The photos were released on Nissan’s Facebook page ahead of the 2013MY’s full debut in the US, scheduled for this fall.
The Pathfinder is now a unibody crossover with seating for five, while the model before it was a body-on-frame designed SUV. To make it into a production form, Nissan has added plastic protectors for the lower part of the bumper and the side skirts.
“Nissan is in a great position today. Sales are up, market share is increasing and our dealers have a great selection of 2012 Nissan cars, trucks and SUVs in inventory,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc. “This new Pathfinder Concept is just the beginning of a far-reaching wave of new products on the horizon for Nissan. By the end of 2012, more than 70 percent of our sales volume will be all-new or redesigned.”
