Dear drag racers, we are bringing you one of the first drag strip runs of the 2015 Nissan GT-R, with the Japanese supercar having recently played the quarter mile game.
The clip below shows a Black example of the 2015 model year Godzilla taking on the drag strip. The GT-R ended up with a 11.04s run at 120 mph. While that is not a bad result, we can’t help think that previous model year incarnations of the Nissan managed to pull runs sitting in the high ten-second range.

Perhaps one of the factors that led to the difference is the reaction time - The GT-R is “battling” a Mustang and you can see that the Nissa’s driver could have been quicker at the Christmas Tree game. From this point on though, the twin-turbo V6 and the dual-clutch tranny do all the work.

Regardless of that, one should not expect a performance increase from the 2015 GT-R, because... well... Nissan didn’t intend that. When the automotive producer introduced the update at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, their aim was to make the think nicer to live with everyday. Instead of adding more power, they made the supercar more appropriate ot the “GT” in its designation.
