While every BMW enthusiast on the plant is waiting for the Munich auto marque to unveil the next-gen M5, certain tuners keep launching all sorts of upgrades for the outgoing one. G-Power is one of them, and their G5M proposal shared recently on social media surely is something to write home about.
While its successor is rumored to boast almost 800 horses, which would put it in the same league as the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, this F90 already has that much power to play with. The tuner says the metric horsepower is rated at 800, which equals 789 brake horsepower and 588 kilowatts, and the thrust stands at a healthy 701 pound-feet (950 Nm).

Tend to keep track of the performance numbers? That would be some 200 hp over the stock M5 and 148 lb-ft (~200 Nm) of torque more. The extra oomph comes at a hefty price of nearly €31,000 (equal to $34,025) in Germany, including tax, and includes a new exhaust system, the 9x21-inch front, and 10.5x21-inch rear wheels wrapped in Michelin rubber measuring 285/30 and 295/30 respectively, G5M logos, Venturi RR or RS carbon hood, carbon rear wing, and a few other things.

Besides the stuff mentioned above, G-Power also speaks of a v-max increase to 205 mph (330 kph). That's a significant boost over the 155 mph (250 kph) limited top speed achievable by the stock M5, which can sprint to 60 mph (97 kph) in a neck-snapping 3.2 seconds. We know you're probably wondering how fast the tuned one is in a straight line, though only G-Power knows the answer, and they haven't released it. Nonetheless, it probably takes around three seconds dead to deal with the acceleration, which is pretty much on par with the modern-day supercar establishment, albeit in a business sedan with five seats.

Similar elbow grease was applied to the even more impressive BMW M5 CS, with G-Power squeezing out 808 hp (820 ps/603 kW) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Unveiled earlier this year, that one has a few extra aftermarket touches, like the carbon hood, grille, rear wing, and different wheels. Pricing for these upgrades was set at just over €25,000 ($27,440) by the tuner in Germany, and they include tax, plus freight and packaging.

As you probably already know, BMW's M5 CS remained on sale in the United States for only one year. It had an MSRP of $142,000. For the regular M5, you are looking at $109,900 before destination and handling. The M8 Competition Gran Coupe starts at $138,800, and for the M3 Sedan, with its 473 hp, interested parties will have to cough out at least $76,000. The Competition and Competition xDrive variants of the M3 can be ordered from $80,200 and $84,300, respectively.
