It was only a matter of time until the whole Pokemon Go scheme backfired, but, fortunately, we haven't reached that point, so we're not here to give you a piece of new about the disastrous effects of people misusing the app (even though the crashes related to this should suffice).
Instead, we want to show you what happens when Pickachus stand up and fight in what is an exceptionally well-planned "prank" coming from Switzerland. You see, the city of Basel has figured out that capitalizing the Pokemon Go craze should be a large-scale affair, so its official website has tons of material dedicated to the various businesses' and people's efforts revolving around the game.
And one of the best pieces comes in the form of the prank highlighted in the clip below. As we mentioned in the title, the shenanigan sees the fictional characters becoming real, with two boys and a girl grabbing their yellow suits and getting inside a van for the action.
The Opel Vivaro they used to turn the Pokemon Masters into prey was only a part of the adventure though, as these Pokedevils weren't afraid to put their athletic skills to good use, whether it came to running up and down stairs or chasing people through the historical center of the city.
Oh, and they didn't just target girls. As you'll get to see in the video, boys caught playing Pokemon Go (or at least this seems to be the idea) had their fair share of... reverse gaming. It's difficult to hide the feeling that at least some parts of this adventure are staged, but this doesn't make the result any less worhty of the brilliant-giggles title. In our book, this Pokemon Go prank is considerably better than the similar one we showed you a while back.
So, next time you launch the app and start throwing Poke Balls at those creatures, you'd better watch your back.
