Peugeot Updates VeLV Concept for 2013

Peugeot's VeLV concept is a three-wheeler electric vehicle, jointly developed by PSA and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency ADEME. It is designed to comfortably seat two people, and some shopping, in the back, measuring just 2.8 meters, or 9.2 feet in length.
It is also quite light, tipping the scales at under 700 kg, or 1,540 lbs.

Now, Peugeot has revealed an updated version of the concept, though their short presentation video is not really very good at explaining the changes.

Still, it gets a 40 hp electric motor, which draws its juice from an 8.5 kWh battery pack. This gives the VeLV a maximum range of 100 km or 62 miles, as well as a top speed of 110 km/h (68 mph).

Peugeot have not really said whether or not they`re thinking of putting it into production any time soon, but with the market being flooded by such vehicles made by startup manufacturers, they`d better get a move on if they want to get a piece of this newly-created niche.
