Elements Combine into Peugeot Onyx Concept

There are some concept cars that preview a production model that arrives in a few months, and there are others that are simply put a journey of discovery, like Peugeot’s Onyx.
This supercar from France has hand-fabricated body panels made from copper, carbon fiber used throughout the car and a wood dash made from compacted paper. The roof and windows are constructed from a lightweight acrylic to keep weight down.

They’ve managed to make it just 1100 kg (2425 lbs), which is quite an achievement. Power comes from a V8 3.7-liter hybrid HDI FAP engine that generates 600 hp and is linked to a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
The car is actually made by the Peugeot Sport division, so if they actually put it into production it will be one special machine. Those concept car looks actually massive brakes and 20-inch wheels shod Michelin tires sized 275/30 at the front and 345/30 at the rear.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
