Pagani Huayra Starts Up Its Twin-Turbo 6-Liter

Pagani can still build you a Zonda if you want to, and you might very well be tempted. But the new boy to come out of their factories is just as interesting, at least from an engineering standpoint.
The Huayra is basically designed to be easier to live with than the Zonda, and as such is powered by a twin-turbo V12. Just like the old engines, it was developed by AMG, and they reportedly worked all the turbo lag out of it.

The 6-liter unit has 700 horsepower, and sounds amazing. Once you thing about it, you realize the Aventador and F12berlinetta are just as powerful. But what they don’t have is little wings on the nose that lift up to create downforce or the pantomime of the strange Huayra.

Not many people have bought these cars, and this one was spotted by Brian Zuk on Ocean Avenue in Carmel, California.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
