Here is the Ferrari 296 GTB with a twist. You can blame Novitec for the way it looks, sounds, and drives right now. There is so much carbon fiber on this car that you don't know where to look first. And then, there is that sound that makes you wonder: is there a storm coming?
The video that presents the Ferrari 296 GTB by Novitec shows the car launching itself through corners, screeching, and eating up the road like no tomorrow, filling up the air with one hell of a sound. And that is just a V6 we're talking about. A V6 with a twist, though. You can blame Novitec for that, too!

Novitec made the bodywork components from exposed-structure carbon. And there is so much of it on this car! After hours and hours spent in the wind tunnel to tune aerodynamics to perfection, the Berlinetta's downforce grew in the name of stability.

The Ferrari 296 GTB now rides on Vossen NF11 five-twin spoke wheels, 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear. They are manufactured using the ultimate forging technology and CNC machining. Customers can select one of the many surface finishes and 72 colors available.

The two-seater is fitted with a stainless coilover suspension with multi-adjustable ride height. Customers can also go for the sports springs for better handling, which are tagged as the perfect fit for the very low-profile tires also coming from Vossen. The Ferrari now sits 35 millimeters (1.38 inches) closer to the ground.

The hydraulic Novitec front lift system can raise the front end by 40 millimeters (1.57 inches) at the touch of a button placed in the cockpit to help the car go over speed bumps, for instance. The front end goes back into position either at the touch of the same button or at speeds of over 80 kph (50 mph).

The tuning house also worked on the mid-mounted twin-turbocharged V6 engine of the hybrid sports car. The team came up with high-efficiency turbo inlets, which work alongside a Novitec high-performance exhaust system, with optimized gas flow and sports catalysts, for an additional 38 horsepower.

Therefore, a total system output of 856 horsepower (868 metric horsepower) and a soundtrack reminiscent of motor racing enhance the drama the Ferrari 296 GTB comes with. The MGU-K electric drive, installed behind the mid-mounted V6 engine, remains untouched, but Novitec has built a frame of exposed carbon panels around both power units.

Novitec also worked on the looks of the Italian sports car. However, it's beauty and brains, all in one. The tuners developed sophisticated components, also made from – you guessed! – exposed-structure carbon and finished with a high-gloss clear coat. They are fitted to the car in the name of aerodynamics and a better balance between the front and rear axle, but they also make the looks of the car more aggressive.

An exposed carbon element can be mounted on the retractable spoiler that the Ferrari drives through the gate of the Maranello factory with. Meanwhile, an air diffuser and the side sections of the rear fascia are also made of exposed carbon.

Novitec also came up with new rocker panels that assist the airflow from the front to the rear wheel arches. They also fitted carbon fiber on the side mirrors, and there are carbon scoops on the air intakes that help the engine breathe. There is no word on the pricing of the tuned Ferrari. But it does sound like a million dollars.
