Nissan today announced that the new Global Headquarters Gallery will officially open its doors to visitors on August 8, with the first 2,000 visitors to receive a commemorative souvenir. The Gallery is built inside the new Global Headquarters located in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture and gives access to several goodies that would allow us to better know the Nissan brand.
The first floor covers an area of 4,000 square meters, which means it is four times larger compared ot the previous Nissan Gallery at Higashi Ginza. There are four themes-zones, as it follows: "Product Zone" which showcases the newest models available in Japan, "Global Products Zone" which displays the global product range, "Corporate Communications Zone," showing you the company's corporate activities and "Heritage Corridor" that allows us to discover the history of the manufacturer.
Additionally, there is also a Nissan Boutique that lets you buy some souvenirs, a Gallery Cafe and a Nissan Hall with enough seats for no less than 600 people.
In case you're living in Japan or at least if you plan to visit the gallery, know that it can be accessed from Shin-Takashima Station on the Minatomirai line (five-minute walk) or Yokohama Station (seven-minute walk), as Nissan explained in a statement for the press.
The grand opening is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 8th, from 10:00 a.m. but, in case you can't attend the event, you can still watch it on TV as live coverage from the show is going to be broadcasted by FM Yokohama at 1.00 pm.
