At the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon, the Japanese equivalent of SEMA, Nissan wanted to further show the potential might of its Nismo in-house tuning division and what they can do to a bog-standard car.
This Micra Nismo Concept previews the sort of parts firm will be offering when their big factory kicks into action next year. It’s actually the third such vehicle shown, after the Juke Nismo Concept and Leaf Nismo Concept.

The tuned supermini comes with a bespoke paintjob echoing that of the juke, a full body kit and lowered suspension. The shape of the grille has been altered a bit and works well with the fresh aero bumper. Round the back, you have an add-on diffusor and the obligatory big wing.

On the performance side, the Micra gets stiffer suspension, light alloy wheels and sticky rubber.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
