Nissan Juke Nismo Concept Interior Revealed in First Official Video

Despite the fact they are ultra-famous in the ricer scene, Nissan Nismo division’s exploits are largely unknown in the rest of the automotive world, too extreme and unmarketed to make a dent in the market. However, that might change with the arrival of a fresh, in-house tuned version of one of Nissan’s most popular models, the Juke crossover.
The Juke’s radical factory design combined with the body kit and extra power Nismo is giving it could result in a perfect new addition for Nissan’s range. A concept version is coming to the 2011 Tokyo Motor show and we can’t wait to see it in person.

However, Nissan’s Chief Product Specialist Chiaki Sumi says that if the public’s reaction’s to the project is good enough, the will put it into production. In the past, Nismo only appealed to motors fans, but so did the JCW division, and look where MINI has gone with that.

Nismo also has a new headquarters in the Yokohama, which is bigger than the old one, so they have extra production capabilities and are willing to contribute much more to Nissan’s brand image.

The new body kit on the Juke crossover is there to increase aerodynamic performance, keeping the same drag coefficient while reducing drag at speed. To this end, the car is lowered to the ground and comes with a fully body kit that includes a spoiler and diffuser at the back. The grille has also been changed to one that looks more like the Murano.

One of the official videos released by Nissan also reveals the interior that we weren’t supposed to see until tomorrow. You’ve got sports leather seats, a very dark sort of chrome finish on the motorcycle style lower console, door handles and air vents.

The steering wheel has been covered in alcantara leather and features sporty red stitching at the top. There’s also read stitching on the doors and eats, giving off a sporty sort of premium feel.
