The Russians who organize the Moscow Mile Unlim 500+ have taken drag racing to the next level. They have the most powerful cars in Europe going up against each other, at an event with glamour models, champagne and live music.
But drag racing remains a dangerous business, as this video will prove. During the Stage 11 race in the Unlim 500+ class, two Nissan GT-R were going up agains each other. Due to heavy rain, the car in the left lane loses control and slams hard into the track barrier.

The crash happens quite quickly, but it looks like like the GT-R lifts due to an undulation in the road and the female driver can't recover it in time. Yes, you heard right, female drive, and after she gets out of the car, the girl-racer grabs her coat from a hanger in the back of the car. Have to say we've never seen that before.

The damage to her GT-R looks almost irreparable, but at least she's all right, a testament to Japanese engineering.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
