Lamborghini Murcielago Races T-Rex RC Helicopter, Loses and Crashes

The adjacent clip brings us to an airfield runway where a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Versace was brought to race a pair of Suzuki GSX-R1000s and two RC Helicopters, a Trex 800 Trekker and a Gimbal 800.
This was supposed to be an unconventional drag race day, with RC helicopter company Align-Trex aiming to see how its little beast does against some of the best four- and two-wheeled machines on the market.

The vehicles made a few runs, with the helicopter showing a stunning acceleration, taking the lead and staying there until the end. However, the real surprise came at after multiple races, when the limited edition Murcielago was severely crashed.

There aren’t too many details about the accident, but it seems that the driver didn’t anticipate the end of the runway accurately enough and ended up making full contact with a ditch.

This reminds us of a similar situation we wrote about last year, when a Lamborghini Aventador driver also misjudged the end of a runway and went on the grass, but the vehicle was far less damaged.
