Just like they promised on their Facebook page yesterday, SEAT have fully revealed a brand new car today, the Leon SC three-door coupe model that will make its official debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show early next month.
The Leon SC or Sports Coupe is built on the same MQB platform and shares all its looks with the Leon five-door, save for the obvious lack of rear doors. The car is slightly shorter, however, creating the impression of a sportier design, at least according the the Spaniards.

Unfortunately, the creases down the side of the car aren't as powerful as on the Ibiza, and we might have problems walking into the SEAT dealership with lookers like the Opel Astra GTC and Kia pro_cee'd currently on sale.

"We have given the three-door Leon SC a highly distinctive character – just deleting two doors would not have been enough for us. That is why we opted for the shorter wheelbase – although it is only 35 millimetres, the visual effect is very powerful. The result is a big difference in the expression of dynamics," said Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, Head of Seat Design.

The Leon SC will be on sale in Europe later this year and will be offered with a choice of both TSI and TDI engines. The most economical is the 1.6-liter TDI and the fastest and most powerful is the 180 PS 1.8-liter TSI. Right now, the fastest models are the ones in FR trim available with DSG and sports suspension, but later on, Cupra and Cupra R models will be added as well.
