Renault revealed a new version of the RS Twingo 133 Cup that is based on the popular Twingo Renaultsport but comes with some feature adjustments, especially aimed at reducing the final price of the car.
Autocar.co.uk writes that the new model is powered by the same 1.6-liter engine that develops 131 bhp. The same suspension system is available as well but, compared to the more expensive model, it doesn't feature air conditioning, automatic headlamp and wipers or extra tinted rear windows. Furthermore, the sliding rear seats have been replaced by a single bench, the source added.
Obviously, the new Twingo is more affordable now, with prices reduced by 700 pounds. The car is sold for 11,795 pounds and will hit the showrooms in October.
Other features include 17-inch aluminum wheels, 4mm lower body, Glacier White pain, only available as an option for 150 pounds. The wheels can also be painted in gloss black for 175 pounds.
As for the Twingo, the parent company recently rolled out a special edition codenamed Dolce Vita that is only available for French buyers. The Dolce Vita is aiming for women drivers, with pricing starting at 11,050 euros (with France’s 700 euros eco-bonus subsidy deducted). That's because the model can be equipped with the 1.2 LEV 16V 75 or the dCi 65 engine, both of the variants being eco-friendly, as they emit 119g and 113g of CO2/km respectively.
Twingo Dolce Vita will be available with a choice of two new body colors, namely Cajou Brown (metallic) and Vanille White (non-metallic), in addition to the existing Pearlescent Black (metallic) and Glacier White (non-metallic).
