Renault Twingo by Rip Curl Launched

Following the success of the Clio by Rip Curl launched in 2007, the French manufacturer Renault decided to go further with the partnerships and launched a new Rip Curl Limited Edition, this time based on the Twingo Dynamique. Specifically, the limited edition brings a number of enhancements, including extra-tinted rear glass and special exterior Rip Curl trimming on the foglamp surrounds, rear quarter panels and hatch.

Inside, the car comes with specific upholstery with embroidered Rip Curl badging and Rip Curl branding on the door sills. The Limited Edition also introduces a new metallic body color, raising the total count to five (Pearlescent Black, Extreme Bleu, Platine Grey, Blue Grey, Dyna Red), plus one non-metallic finish (Glacier White).

"The partnership between Rip Curl and Renault not only showcases the passion which the two companies share for liberty but also underlines their commitment to protecting the environment. Indeed, Renault contributes financially to the Rip Curl Planet Foundation, which is associated with the WWF," Renault said in a release.

In France, the engine range includes several options, as follows: 1.2 LEV 75hp, 1.2 16V 75hp, dCi 65 and dCi 85. Pricing starts at 12,150 euro, with the 1.2 LEV, dCi 65 and dCi 85 versions eligible for the €700 eco-bonus scheme available in the country.

Among the standard features of the Dynamique trim, we can mention front and lateral airbags, manual climate control, rev-counter, power steering, electric front windows, body color electric exterior mirrors, foglamps, leather-trimmed steering wheel, independent sliding rear seats with headrests and heigh-adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel. There are also several options, including curtain airbags, lip spoiler, automatic climate control, ESP, cruise control and panoramic electric sunroof.
