French automaker Renault has announced its new Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8 edition is available to order in the United Kingdom with an OTR price tag set at £28,245.
Available in only 30 examples with exclusive Twilight Blue exterior paint and Platinum detailing, the Megane RS Red Bull edition was designed to celebrate Renault and Red Bull Racing’s third Formula One Constructors’ world title.
Based on the regular Megane RS Coupe, which is about £1,500 cheaper, the Red Bull RB8 edition comes with additional features such as Recaro front seats, R-Link Multimedia and TomTom Live navigation systems, the company’s latest on-board Renaultsport Monitor v2.0, as well as Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires and unique 10-inch gloss black “Steev” wheels.
No changes were made under the bonnet, which means that the Megane RS Red Bull edition is powered by the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as the regular Megane RS Coupe. Connected to a six-speed manual gearbox, the unit delivers 265 HP. And we thought Red Bull is supposed to give you wings...
