Knightswood, Glasgow is now the home of the Best Biking Buddy in Britain, a 3-year-old bichon frise cross named Milly and best known on social media and the local media as Motorbike Milly.
Milly loves to ride. She does so with her human, Paul Crossan, who has taken every step necessary to ensure that she’s comfortable and safe whether they travel through town or go on a longer, cross-country journey.

Milly is also a champion and has been recognized for her love of riding bikes in a recent competition for pets on bikes, the Daily Mail reports. Crossan, her human, admits that he’d never been this nervous in his life, though he didn’t particularly care if she won.

She did, though. Milly beat competition, including a bike-riding snake, winning over voters with her cuteness, her charm and, last but not least, her customized riding gear. As you can see in the pics in the gallery, Milly is always safe and protected from the elements: she rides in a special pet carrier in the back, has leather jacket and pants, goggles and a helmet.

Crossan plans to market the pet carrier soon, so other dog or cat owners can take their pets on the road, should they and the pets both desire it. It helps secure the pet while letting it take in the views – and the smells.

“She loves being out on the bike,” Crossan tells the Mail. “I take her along to the shops down the road as well as long journeys across the country. We always get people driving past and smiling as they notice her.”

That’s not entirely surprising. Milly even has a customized helmet with rhinestones, so it’s only natural for her to attract attention wherever she goes. Plus, she’s a cute dog on a bike, what more do you want.

“She’ll definitely get a treat or two to celebrate [winning the competition],” her human adds. “I’m also going to get her a custom-made leather waistcoat to complete her look.”
