As you’ll already know by know, Ferrari is planning a number of new releases soon, including a fresh Enzo halo car and a successor to the 599 GTB Fiorano. The car which is codenamed F152 will use aluminum in bulk, negating the overall industry trend where carbon-fiber is deemed the chassis material of the future.
According to a fresh TeamSpeed report, this is because Maranello deems the weight saving to be insufficient to compensate for the difficulties in fixing the car if it’s crashed, not tot mention the added cost to the manufacturing process.

The new GT will reportedly borrow a lot of tech from the AWD Ferrari Four, or FF, including its V12 that will be revised to produce about 725 hp. Also borrowed will be the FF’s seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, as there will be no manual option whatsoever.
