Mopar is going to be big at this year’s Detroit Show. The brand promises to bring over 100 accessories and even an Accessorization Station that will will feature live demos showcasing installation of Mopar products. The Fiat brand is making it return to the North American market with the 2012 Fiat 500 (Cinquecento), so it's only natural that Mopar should put is customizing muscle to work on the little city car. While the car doesn’t follow any particular theme, it looks like the most tricked out 500 we’ve seen in a long time. The vehicle is finished in satin black and accented by a double-blue stripe in decal form on the roof and the hood. Chrome trim has been place everywhere, from the exhaust tips to mirror covers that have been replaced with custom ones. New grille surrounds were fitted to both the front and the back, completing the long list of shiny detailing. Mopar fitted a lot of aftermarket features to the inside as well, including a carbon fiber-style hand brake and carbon fiber-style shift knob with leather boot. Katzkin set to work changing the factory seats by covering them in a black and blue leather combination that compliments the exterior paint scheme. A set of special door-sill guards, sporting the 500 logo, great you when entering the 2012 Fiat that has been accessorized by Mopar. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 NAIAS, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
