Unlike other Detroit automakers – Ford, we are looking (angry) at you – General Motors still maintains a semblance of a passenger car lineup thanks to its loyalist brands, Chevrolet and Cadillac.
While Ford only has the 2024 Mustang to showcase in the passenger car sector, Chevrolet, for example, still sells the 2024 Malibu four-door sedan, the 2024 Camaro pony series, plus the mighty C8 Corvette in Stingray, Z06, and E-Ray form with Coupe and Convertible bodies. As for Cadillac, they're also quite enamored with sedans, given the CT4 and CT5 series, plus the quirky Celestiq flagship EV.

Even better, the luxury automaker doesn't shy away from teaching GM's corner office head honchos a thing or two about performance with the CT4-V and CT5-V plus their respective Blackwing derivatives. Elsewhere, in China, for example, Cadillac even has a second-generation CT6 land yacht on sale with cool styling and a 2.0-liter LSY inline-four turbo mill generating 237 hp sent to the rear wheels through a ten-speed automatic.

Obviously, if the new CT6 came back to America – it was retired in the region after the 2020 model year, the big saloon would be more about cruising rather than executive performance. As such, it is no wonder that some folks still cherish its predecessor's high-performance V-Sport version. The CT6-V was unveiled at the 2018 New York Auto Show and featured the Blackwing V8 with 'just' 550 horsepower and 640 lb-ft (868 Nm) of torque – and reportedly less than 900 cars were made with the stylized Cadillac 'V' on the trunk.

However, these feisty cars never die in the hearts and minds of ardent fans – even if they are members of the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. For example, Jim, the virtual artist known as jlord8 on social media, is still meddling with all things GM - especially Cadillac - and we are not mad about that at all. Himself an owner of a 1986 Buick Regal T-Type and a 1995 Ford Thunderbird SC (Super Coupe), he recently played with stuff like a Buick Regal revival based on the Cadillac Elmiraj or the Caddy CT5-V Blackwing Coupe and Station Wagon.

Alas, he also remembered that not long ago, he brought back the iconic Cadillac Eldorado moniker and turned it into a Celestiq-based electric two-door land yacht. Just in case that's a bit too far-fetched for you, there's also something new – and with ICE power under the hood. As such, the pixel master reworked the American CT6 (most likely the CT6-V) into a traditional-looking yet modern Cadillac Eldorado Convertible.

Naturally, if we assume the design was entirely based on the first-gen CT6 sprinkled with a bit of V-Sport action, we can easily imagine that under the hood of this open top sits the 4.2-liter Blackwing V8, complete with 550 ponies. Too bad it's all merely wishful thinking, right?
