This Mercedes-Benz started out in life as a G 350d. With four wheels, that is. Was. Because that life is long gone. Now, it has three axles, six wheels, a huge ride height, and looks like it eats American trucks for breakfast plus some crossover SUVs instead of bread.
A Ukrainian shop, Jeeps Monsters, is to blame for all the mods. The shop, based west of Kyiv, specialises in converting stock trucks and SUVs into ferocious, monstrous vehicles. And the G-Wagon G350 6x6 Squared is their latest project.

They worked on a stock G350d, which means that it is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel with 282 horsepower (286 metric horsepower) and 457 pound-feet (620 Newton meters) of torque.

They started with a restyling kit made in China, slapped onto the vehicle. The radiator grille, lights, hood, bumpers, side mirrors, and fenders are all new, making it more aggressive. The customer also wanted carbon fiber snorkels, so he got them.

They installed a suspension mirroring the one of a 4x4 Squared: two Fox shock absorbers and two springs on each of the six wheels, all ordered all the way from the US. The one who supervised the project says that the car features the tires of the original 6x6. Just the portal axles of the original are missing, but they have the next best thing.

On the run from a standstill to 100 kph (62 mph), the monster does 16 seconds flat and it does the quarter mile in 20 seconds. We are definitely not looking at a ballerina. Instead of making things better, Sport mode only makes things worse: 18 seconds for the 0 to 62 mph run. But it is the extra weight that slows it down like that.

Now, the six-wheeler drives through potholes and over railroads without even slowing down. Probably you should not try this yourself unless you take the chance of ending up in the news.

The team also admits to having tested the vehicle on the worst terrain you could imagine. A little mud never hurt anyone. But they are doing it to test the abilities of their build so that the client can drive home with no anxiety whatsoever.

Electric running boards make ingress and egress easier. The rear walk, the one that divides the passengers’ space from the load bed features the same shape as the original. The load bed is covered in wood.

Even after the sophisticated modifications, everything remained functional and the system of the vehicle shows no error.

Jeeps Monsters also worked on the interior. Now, the seats, dashboard, and door panels are covered in black leather and Alcantara with a hexagon pattern. In fact, there is no plastic at sight in the cabin anymore.

And they did not stop there. They took things one step further. The customer asked for a starred sky headliner, similar to what Rolls-Royce offers. The lighting can be adjusted with the help of a button on the key.

Wait, there is more! The Gelandewagen had its seats replaced with those of a BMW 7 Series E 66, while the steering wheel has been replaced with one from a G 63. There are sliding seats in the rear.

Jeeps Monsters can modify your vehicle in about seven months. Pricing depends on the complexity of each projects.
