As you know, Mitsubishi is in the midst of a reinventing process, which aims to turn the company into a green one. The carmaker today released a teaser of a crossover that’s scheduled to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March and indicate the future design language of the automaker. The vehicle is set to go on sale later this year and will be offered on multiple markets from across the world.
Here’s how Mitsubishi describes its new styling philosophy: “This re-focused design language, while still being formulated, is envisaged as an open design concept, meant to be flexible enough to suit specific vehicle requirements whilst staging Mitsubishi’s famous Three Diamond logo accordingly.  Refined yet assertive, this new engineering-driven look can be understood as the new expression of Mitsubishi’s near century old tradition of technology tailored for today’s world.”

The development reminds us of the PX-MiEV II Concept, which was introduced at this year’s edition of the Tokyo Motor Show. The production model could inherit the concept’s hybrid powertrain, which mixes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors producing 81 hp, with the unit promising to offer a incredible fuel efficiency of 1.7 liters per 100 km or 141 mpg.
