The overly enthusiastic fellows over at MG Motor have finally revealed pricing information for the brand new 2014 MG3 supermini. Available in four versions at launch, the MG3 will have a starting price of only £8,399 and will go as high as £9,999.
For £8,399, future customers will get the entry-level 3TIME trim, which includes LED lights, sport seats, six airbags, and hill hold assist, with a CD player and iPod compatibility. On the other hand, the range-topping 3STYLE trim adds a sports body kit, alloy wheels, cruise control, automatic lights and wipers, and rear parking sensors.
All four versions are motivated by a four-cylinder 1.5-liter petrol engine rated at 105 bhp and mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Fuel economy is estimated at 47.8 mpg UK, while CO2 emissions are rated at 136g/km.
“The MG3 gives the market something really new; a stylish, highly practical, small car with many options for personalisation that is fun to drive, fun to buy and fun to own. With all models in the range priced below £10,000 and insurance expected to be just 4E, we can offer this type of product at a price position that no competitor can match,” said MG sales and marketing director Guy Jones.
