With the last official news about the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT (C190) completely revealing its gorgeous interior in all its fighter-plane-cockpit-inspired glory, the marketing department for the Affalterbach-based sports brand had went a little numb when it comes to this steamy subject.
Fret not, dear AMG fans, as the second ever road car to have been developed in-house by Mercedes-Benz's tuning and motorsport arm is about to begin what will probably be known as a highly-addicting teaser campaign.

The interior shots were just the beginning, as the Mercedes-AMG GT (C190) has now received its own dedicated microsite on the official AMG website, and boy did it make us curious.

Since the first ever official image with the model is suffering from a severe but obviously intentional lack of light and design details, we tried to unveil as much as we could from the missing styling features via Photoshop, and the somewhat bad result can be viewed above.

Divided into four different sections (Innovation, Dynamics, Performance and Design), the Mercedes-AMG GT microsite only allows the first two teasers to be seen and/or heard, but you should probably bookmark it and maybe even let Mercedes-Benz spam your email address for a very simple reason: in ten days, on the 29th of May, we will get to know how the AMG GT sounds, even though our ears can also get a glimpse of its sonorous V8 in the short video below as well.

Powered by an all-new, twin-turbocharged V8 with a displacement of four liters, the new Mercedes-AMG sports car will try to steal a piece of the Porsche 911 and the Jaguar F-Type Coupe pie when it comes to sales, while its performance should put it between the 911 Carrera S and the mighty Turbo.

Based on two M133 four-cylinders from the 45 AMG series of models bonded together, the new V8 is using twin-scroll turbochargers fitted inside the cylinder lines, as does the 4.0 TFSI from Audi or the S63 from BMW.

Official numbers haven't been released yet, but expect it to deliver around 500 hp and 700 Nm (516 lb ft) of torque to the rear wheels via a dual-clutch transaxle gearbox borrowed from the SLS AMG. The car itself is to be revealed at the end of August, with the public launch to happen in October, at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Color us excited!
