With its uber-serious aero and its 800 horsepower, the McLaren Senna was designed with the racetrack in mind. However, the beast also comes with license plates and traffic can sometimes bring nasty accidents. Alas, this has recently been the case in the UK, where an example of the hypercar was seriously damaged in a crash.
The accident took place on the A127 road in the proximity of Southend, Essex and it seems to have involved at least two other cars beside the Woking machine.
And while the details regarding the ka-bang are scarce, it seems that nobody was injured in the accident. Considering the fact that one of the vehicles involved in the crash can be seen lying on its side (check out the Instagram video at the bottom of the page), this shouldn't be taken for granted.
As we mentioned above, the damage sustained by the Senna is serious. For instance, the left side front wheel looks out of place, but we can't know if the frame of the vehicle has been touched. Unfortunately, multiple body panels have been ruined.
Keep in mind that we're talking about a hypercar that came with a price tag of almost $1 million, while the British automotive producer is always willing to offer rebuilding services. So there are serious chances of this mid-engine beast returning to the road after receiving the much-needed servicing attention.
We'll remind you this isn't the first accident of the McLaren Senna. That title went to a crash that took place in late October. That unfortunate happening saw a Senna meeting a wall in Munich, Germany.
However, the damage resulting for the impact seemed considerably less severe than the one we're currently dealing with, even though the airbags of the vehicle were deployed in the crash.
