As if McLaren wasn’t exclusive enough by supercar standards, MSO took the 570S Coupe and 570S Spider to the next level. Commissioned by McLaren Beverly Hills, the “Racing Through the Ages” collection comes in three flavors.
First off, Papaya Spark “honors victories in orange throughout the 1960s and 70s and its continued use on modern Formula 1 cars.”

The Sarthe Grey takes inspiration from the Woking-based team’s “dominant Le Mans victory in 1995, the only time a manufacturer has won Le Mans on its debut.”

As for Muriwai, the cars finished in this theme celebrate the early racing exploits of Bruce McLaren in New Zealand.

Debuted on December 11th, the MSO-ified collection totals six cars, all boasting a dealer-fit rear wing. The GT4 racing stripes on the hood and roof are also shared, along with the MSO Defined Black Pack, MSO Defined titanium SuperSports exhaust system, 10-spoke super-lightweight forged wheels in gloss black.

The motorsport-infused motif is also visible in the cabin, starting with the orange-painted 12 o’clock mark on the steering wheel. Other areas of interest include the MSO logo stitched into the headrests, dedication plate that reads “1 of 6 – RACING THROUGH THE AGES,” and a key finished in the same color as the vehicle’s bodywork.

“It’s exciting for us at MSO any time we are able to merge McLaren’s racing heritage with current McLaren Automotive road cars,” declared Ansar Ali, managing director of McLaren’s Special Operations. “Working alongside our retailers such as McLaren Beverly Hills to create these distinctive, limited editions of special cars for McLaren customers is an increasingly important part of our business as the demand for bespoke commissions becomes more popular.”

No pricing has been offered, but the MSO makeover doesn’t come cheap considering the attention to detail, high-quality materials, and exclusivity. For reference, the 570S Coupe retails at $188,600 in the United States. And on that note, isn’t it curious McLaren didn’t include the 570GT and 600LT in the “Racing Through the Ages” collection?
