We’ve already seen the McLaren P1 in person at the Paris Motor Show. Since then, the exotic model has been undergoing road testing around Europe, getting ready for its big production debut.
Automotive photographer Jason Thorgalsen attended a private event in New York where the P1 was once again shown. A spokesman for the British supercar maker and engineering firm said what we already knew, that the P1 has rich history behind it, that it uses a carbon fiber chassis and that it will blow our minds.
Interestingly, he also said something about production, namely that what we see is 97% production ready. Some vents will be added to the sides of the front bumper. This will push warm air from the radiator down the side of the car, lowering drag, while at the back the mesh that lets you peak at the engine from behind will be re-styled to a tighter design.
