Pagani did bring one of their amazing new Huayra 700 horsepower supercars to Pebble Beach this year, the one we showed you yesterday, revving its V12 heart out. But unfortunately the car is not yet strictly speaking legal.
Due to the EPA and CARB regulations cracking down on this exotic, it won’t be ready as a US-Specific model until mid-2013. The car was shown at Pebble Beach last year as well, but because the Huayra was not exempt from having airbags, deliveries couldn’t starts as planned.

Pagani Automobili subsequently invested n additional €4 ($5.1) million to put airbags in the car. Pricing is expected to start now at about $1.4 million a piece for the US model, and only 15 will be available.

As a reminder, we’ll tell you this mid-engined supercar is powered by an AMG 6-liter V12 that churns out 700 horsepower. The Huayra will get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds an will do 370 km/h (230 mph).

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
