There’s no denying the 600LT Coupe is the most interesting member of the Sports Series and a better driver’s car than the spider. But like all good things, the 600LT Coupe will be discontinued towards the end of 2019.
This MSO-ified example of the breed is one of the final units to be assembled at the McLaren Production Centre in Woking, as well as the 1,000th car sold by McLaren London. The McLaren Special Operations grafted a roof snorkel and carbon-fiber bodywork for additional visual drama, along with carbon-fiber components for the interior.

But wait, there’s more! The MSO Clubsport Pro Pack adds super-lightweight racing seats, front fender louvers, titanium wheel bolts, a harness bar, and six-point harnesses. No fewer than two carbon-fiber exterior upgrade packs are also fitted, along with orange brake calipers.

Both the headrests and throttle pedal carry the 600LT logo to bring the point home, and the seat pads have been stitched in orange to match the calipers. Air conditioning and black Alcantara on the steering wheel are also featured, along with parking sensors, a reversing camera, nose lift, 12-speaker audio system, and the McLaren Track Telemetry system.

“Attention is now exclusively devoted to the limited-run 600LT Spider” according to Woking, which mentions “the order book is filling fast.” The drop-top model starts at £201,500 in the United Kingdom, featuring the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 as the coupe. The 600 in 600LT stands for 600 PS, enough suck-squeeze-bang-blow for a top speed of 324 km/h (201 mph) with the retractable hardtop in place. In perfect launch conditions, zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) is rated at 2.9 seconds.

“The addition of MSO features such as a roof snorkel, carbon-fiber front fenders with louvers and track harnesses make this particular example a fitting celebration of this great car,” declared Barney Singh, general manager of McLaren London and McLaren Ascot. “We have seen the brand and range growing over the last seven years and the popularity of the 600LT Coupé is clear evidence of McLaren going from strength to strength.”
