Mazda Presents the Facelifted Scrum Wagon and Van

Mazda now offers facelifted versions of the Scrum Wagon passenger minivan and Scrum Van commercial mini for the Japanese market, with both vehicles offering a improved fuel economy for versions using automatic transmissions.

The revised Scrum Wagon and Scrum Van model equipped with an automatic transmission now offer a fuel consumption reduction of 0.2 liters per 100 km, as measured by the test cycle approved by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

This has been achieved by modifying the gear ratios for the three speed automatic gearbox used by the vehicles.

The Scrum Wagon PZ Turbo and PZ Turbo Special Package grades also feature design changes which include a new front bumper and chrome grille, reshaped fog lights, and rear combination lights with clear lenses. These changes lend the Scrum Wagon a more distinctive and refined appearance, and match the improved quality in the interior, which includes redesigned seat upholstery,” stated the press release.

The front and rear bumpers of the Wagon PZ Turbo and PZ Turbo Special Package models come with a sporty design and makes extensive use of chrome for the front grille, also offering redesigned side skirts and side indicator lamps that feature white lenses.

The cars’ fog lights use a circular multi reflector setup, while the rear lights now have a clear inner lenses. The vehicles’ passengers can enjoy the new upholstery, which offers a fresh center fabric that has a block pattern.

The facelifted versions of the Scrum Wagon passenger minivan ans Scrum Van commercial mini are now available at Mazda dealers across Japan.
