It’s funny how these celebrities always do the eco-speech yet rarely live to what they preach. The Bourne actor was seen letting his step-daughter Alexia Barroso drive the family’s Tesla Model S while she was heading to a party in Culver City, California the other day and later took the wheel himself. However, we all know that this is far from being the actor’s favorite ride since he’s usually going for the luxury SUVs.
Seeing him with a Tesla Model S is not that surprising since the Martian actor is among the first Hollywood celebrities to buy one of Elon Musk’s cars. He first got a Tesla Roadster, but it seems he now upgraded to a newer model of the famous luxury EV.

On the other hand, however, since we’re talking about a paparazzi-chased actor it’s quite easy to build up some sort of chart of what the 44-year old Hollywood star would rather drive.

Damon is usually seen at the wheel of big, petrol-munching rides, whether it’s that Cadillac Escalade ESV or his Toyota Sequoia, so we have to admit we’re quite surprised of the actor’s detour.

In fact, here we are asking ourselves which type of a driver Matt Damon really is, the eco-conscious father who tries to breathe in his enthusiasm for the green wheels to his family members, or the petrol head who likes them big, powerful and not quite fuel efficient?

Maybe there is a good answer to that simply looking at what the actor does apart from his movies. The Bourne actor is also involved in several humanitarian ventures. One of them is Water.org, a non-profit developmental aid organization whose goal is to provide aid to regions of developing countries that do not have access to safe drinking water and sanitation.
