No need to panic now, but here's the fact: around 11,500 Honda CBR250 motorcycles will be recalled to have a braking issue fixed, warranty still valid or not.
Honda's recall is a voluntary one and the Japanese manufacturer claims the issue did not result in any crash so far, but owners of Honda CBR250 bikes should contact their local dealer to see whether they are in for the fix.
The issue is said to affect the front brake performance in motorcycles manufactured between March 2011 and September 2011. Along the lines, Honda representatives declared that all authorized dealerships and workshops will perform the fix free of charge and an invalid warranty will not cause the bike to be rejected.
The whole operation requires less than an hour of work and Honda has asked dealers to make appointments for the owners whose quarter-liter bikes are to receive the fix, so the waiting time can be reduced to a minimum.
