Let's get things clear right from the start. The Ford Mustang GT starts at around $42,000. Someone bought a 2024 model for half that price. How would anybody do that unless…
No, it wasn't a massive discount that Ford offered to some super-special, super-loyal, super-everything customer. It is not even a car driven off straight from the dealership floor. This man did buy a brand-new 2024 Ford Mustang with around 5,000 miles on the odometer. But the car comes with a salvage title.

The listing on Copart said that the Mustang GT could run and drive. But it was far from the truth as the tie rod was broken, and the Mustang wasn't going anywhere on its own.

The poor Mustang is in terrible shape. Just about everything is bent and dented. We could go with the stereotype that classifies Mustang drivers as totally reckless and say that the one behind the wheel must have been too rough on the throttle pedal, the Mustang started tail-fishing, lost control of the car, and slammed into a pole on the side of the road.

But we won't do that because we have no idea what happened to the car. What we do know is that, because of such events, Coffee and Cars organizers decided to ban all modern Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros, Dodge Chargers and Challengers were permanently banned from their weekly gatherings.

By the way, this poor 2024 Mustang looks like a pole must have indeed been involved. The passenger door is seriously bent from the sill to the roof. But we don't know what happened before the contact with the pole.

Maybe the driver tried to avoid a pedestrian or a stray dog. Or perhaps the one behind the wheel suddenly felt sick and could not control the car anymore. We can go throwing scenarios all day long, but it won't take us anywhere.

And it is not just the food that was seriously bent. The mirror case on the passenger side is not there anymore and the window on that side was shattered in the impact. The side airbags were deployed, but none of those at the front.

On the driver's side, the fender is about to fall off. Right now, as deformed as it is, it is starting to dig into the door. Most likely, from the pole, the car bounced into another obstacle. The hood looks as if someone bit off a part of it, and the same goes for the front grille and splitter.

The one who bought it is happy with the way the front end looks. He is sure that he can fix it "super quick." He is planning to sell his own Mustang with a ten-speed auto box and use the new blue one with the six-speed manual, which puts down 480 horsepower (487 metric horsepower) and 415 pound-feet (563 Newton meters) for a run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 5.3 seconds. That is quick, too.
