While most of us think that luxury sedans (and crossovers/SUVs) should only come in black, some owners out there would beg to differ. One of them has their name written on the papers of this Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which is truly gorgeous.
Part of the W222 generation, aka the previous one, this German land yacht is in the S 560 configuration and was made in 2018. As a result, it comes with a punchy V8 motor under the hood that was also shared with the eponymous Maybach versions of the same era.

It is the ubiquitous 4.0-liter V8 with dual turbos that was good for 463 hp (470 ps/345 kW) back in the day and had 516 pound-feet (700 Nm) of torque available via the throttle. The rear-wheel-drive model took 4.7 seconds to 62 mph (100 kph), and the one featuring the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system was one-tenth quicker. The two Maybach S 560s, with RWD and AWD, took 4.9 seconds.

Therefore, it has the grunt to match those looks. Finished in white all around, it boasts a chrome-delete package with every shiny detail at the front, sides, and rear being black. The only metal accents you'll find are on the exhaust tips and the lips of the new wheels that came from Vorsteiner. The forged alloys are part of their VE-391 series, and they fill the arches perfectly, even with the lowered suspension that was the work of SS Motorsports.

Since we're in the squeaky-clean category when it comes to S-Classes, we cannot ignore a similar build that we covered a couple of weeks ago. That one was in the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 spec and came from RDB LA, featuring a silver finish and a great set of wheels. Its twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 places it in a superior league, making 621 hp (630 ps/463 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. The 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) is a 4.6-second affair, two-tenths quicker than the 496 hp (503 ps/370 kW) 4.0L V8-powered S 580 version, which enjoys 516 lb-ft (700 Nm).

In the United States, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is offered in three different flavors, starting with the S 500 4Matic from $114,500. It packs a 429 hp (435 ps/320 kW) 3.0L inline-six motor and needs 5.0 seconds to 62 mph (100 kph). The S 580 4Matic comes with a V8 producing 496 hp (503 ps/370 kW), is half a second faster, and carries an MSRP of $124,000. Completing the range is the S 580e 4Matic from $122,550. This model uses an electrified 3.0L mill, is equally fast to the S 580 4Matic, and boasts 362 hp (367 ps/270 kW) from its internal combustion unit and 148 hp (150 ps/110 kW) from the electric motor.
