By now, all you petrol-chuggers have probably noticed the internet phenomenon that is Regular Car Reviews. A guy sarcastically pointing out major flaws in cars of today or yesteryear, all the time blurting out sexual nonsense – sounds strange right? It's actually very cool, and lots of people are giving him their cars to be mocked and ridiculed.
Strangely, when the 2005 Lotus Elise review came out a week ago, no bad words were spoken. Sure, if this car "was a person, it would be that jerk who eats nothing but fried rice and city chicken, yet never gains a pound," but that's nothing to be ashamed of.

It could just be that unlike Mustangs and pickups, the Elise doesn't stand for anything. It's just a light car with performance on its side. At $30,000 on the used car market, it's the type of toy very few "regular guys" will ever be able to afford and that makes it special. But given there's absolutely no practicality and you have to be a contortionist to get inside, we'd never buy one.

So yeah… excellent car that you should never buy? That sounds like a good way to describe an Elise.
