Being stuck in traffic can be a drag, but we assume having to wait for hours on end, at times, for a client to jump into your cab can be just as exhausting and frustrating.
Trust this London cabbie to have found the perfect way to fill up his spare time. A video has popped up on Facebook, on a group dedicated to weird things happening in London traffic, showing a cabbie trimming his leg hair while parked at the cab rank.
It was uploaded with the clear intention of shaming the man: here he was, on the job, doing something that is both gross and private and, as such, should be left for the privacy of one’s home – or, better yet, bathroom.
While many commenters felt the same way as the person who made the video and made it public, not few were those to defend him. The way they see it, the cabbie was in his own car, in his own seat. Sure, what he was doing was gross, but he wasn’t doing it in the passenger seat. More importantly, he wasn’t driving while he was doing it.
Then, there are women who groom, far more disgusting, on public transport, others point out. Why couldn’t a man trim a little leg hair in his work car, as long as he’s alone in it and not posing any danger in traffic, being stationary and all?
They do have a point, if you think about it. Viral videos have showed us repeatedly that the strangest things can be performed while driving, even on a busy highway – from reading a book, to shaving one’s face or even one’s legs, doing your makeup, tweezing your eyebrows, or catching a nap.
While what this cabbie is doing may be gross, at least he’s not endangering anyone.
