Lexus to Showcase 2010 RX in LA

With the Los Angeles Auto Show quickly approaching, car manufacturers around the world announce and prepare special debuts for the newest models, hoping they could get the attention of the market at the upcoming auto event. Lexus does the same thing and today announces the debut of the all-new 2010 RX 450h hybrid and RX 350 luxury vehicle which are said to provide “outstanding luxury, comfort, technology, safety and efficiency.” The new models will be introduced in a press conference held on Wednesday, November 19, Lexus said in a press statement.

Even though it was first unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, Lexus wants to launch the 2010 IS convertible in the North American market using the upcoming Los Angeles auto event.

In terms of innovations, both the IS 250C and IS 350C convertibles are based on a lightweight aluminum three-panel roof that opens in a few seconds. Basically, these two cars share a lot of parts with the standard sedans, as it follows: a 2.5-liter, 204 horsepower V6 engine combined with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission for IS 250C and a 3.5-liter 305 horsepower V6 engine plus a six-speed automatic gearbox for IS 350C.

“Also making their first appearance are the 2009 Lexus LS 460 and LS 460 L all-wheel drive (AWD) luxury sedans. Available in both standard and long wheelbase, they utilize a highly compact center TORSEN Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) that optimally distributes drive torque between the front and rear wheels, thus helping to ensure excellent traction performance and driving stability,” Lexus also mentioned in the press statement announcing the two aforementioned models.
