Set to be unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show in November, the brand new Lexus RC is still a mystery. However, the rumor mill is alive and kicking again with more info on the upcoming BMW 4 Series rival.
According to Motor Trend, the RC F version, which is aimed at the BMW M4 will be powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine, that’s set to deliver 455 HP, and will sport a number of carbon fiber parts and an eight-speed transmission. Also, expect the RC F to arrive with Sachs monotube shock absorbers, special control-arm rear suspension, a specially tuned Lexus Dynamic Handling system and 19-inch BBS wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.
As you might expect, all these features won’t come cheap. In fact, our source claims the RC F will cost at least $100,000, which will make it way more expensive than the upcoming BMW M4. We’ll probably find out more as the vehicle makes its debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
Moving on to the regular RC range, the same report says Lexus will offer it on sale with a new turbocharged 2.0-liter, a 2.5-liter hybrid and a 3.5-liter V6 engine, the latter equipped with Torsen LSD.
