Little is know about Inifiti's first supercar, a project rumored for more than a year now, but a new report says the vehicle is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2017 or 2018.
According to Infiniti's European boss, Fintan Knight, says the supercar is still in the evaluation process, but Autocar claims it "has been penciled in for launch in 2017-2018. "We are still evaluating the layout," Knight said. "It is still on the table for a decision. The same goes for the powertrain."

Already previewed by the Essence and Emerg-e in terms of design, the Infiniti supercar is likely to be developed with the of the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One team. Also, the vehicle could be powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 gasoline/hybrid powertrain, similar to the ones engineered for the 2014 F1 season, when FIA's new engine regulations come into force.
