Lexus has added the new F-Sport trim to the CT 200h and made it available for order in the UK at the princely sum of £27,850 OTR. The equipment grade brings more style and presence to the hybrid hatch in the form of larger rear spoiler, flared side skirts, mesh grille and revised aero bumpers.
The outside is also enhanced by a set of 17-inch dark-finish alloys and a dark paint finish, while the inside brings F-Sport steering wheel with a flat bottom section and aluminium pedals and scuff plates.
As for the extra equipment, this includes cruise control, F-Sport black leather upholstery, heated front seats, electric driver’s seat adjustment, auto-dimming (electrochromatic) electrically retractable door mirrors and a rear parking camera that links to a display in the rear-view mirror.
This isn’t some stickers and sunroof version of the hybrid, as Lexus has also stiffened the suspension for a more engaging drive, and fitted its lateral damping system as standard. Coil spring rates have been changed and the standard Showa shock absorbers replaced with Kayaba dampers that give more sports-oriented performance. The lateral dampers will help minimise body vibrations, leading to a more linear steering feel and rewarding driving experience, as well as greater comfort for everyone on board.
The F-Sport grade for the CT 200h is already available for order now, with deliveries in the UK to take place starting January 2012.
