Lexus recently revealed a Q & A session with RC F chief engineer Yukihiko Yaguchi and chief designer Yasuo Kajino at the 2014 North American International Auto Show.
Among the other questions to which the two key persons responded evasively, there was a bit of relevant information:
“My question, will we see a 2nd generation ISF? Or will 4 door performance duty be handled by the rumoured (and often caught testing at Nurburgring) GSF?” asked interviewer Alexander Cheung.
“We can't announce anything new, but the RC F we're showing in Detroit is a clear sign we will continue to enhance the F brand, so keep your eyes open” said Yaguchi-san.
What we can extrapolate from RC F’s chief engineer is that there are high chances that new Lexus models will gain an F performance overhaul. And since the beefed-up GS sedan was spotted being tested on the Nurburgring last year, we can only say that this might be the next iteration of the F Marque.
